rain in my head

rain in my head

it’s supposed to come down all-day
canceling plans and tennis at the occ
splattering across my windscreen
i am in the snow
buried
laughing and a bit scared
slippery slope
love
cold and bright burning torch
for the girl
on top of me laughing as she pushes
my shoulders deeper into the snow
i am no longer driving
floating on a cloud couch bed grey alone
apollo

in space
of mood and mind combined
a soup of neurodivergent impulses
splitting me
in
two

morning rain saturday disappointments
absolute joy love surprise thrill
the first cut
sets a tone a bar a measure
for all future loves

in to my love
away again
out of my element
skipping across time
like surfing electrical tsunamis
washing within
without
her

can we recapture a loss
a mood moment is merely an approximation
flatlining
going dark
slip
to
the
bottom

rain all day
dream into being
this word
this
next
instant

i am all here
within my furious typing
shunning of other noises songs opportunities
i shimmer like a school of fish
reforming patterns
of recollections
youth
prowess
victory in ambergris
providing stimulating prompts for my wetware
language model of me
each next right word
the human algorithm of me

delighted in the interruptive now
monsooning booming
dogs huddle
deep love
nearby
slipped pulled and paused out of my reverie
by the urgency of
yes
now
love
a continuity of souls
leaning into learning onto laughing by
ourselves
our lovers
in
all time
between here and now
and then
